We were both in shock as he showed us the images and explained what we were seeing. A mass in her left kidney with a solid center. He said there was no way to biopsy it, surgery and removal of the entire kidney would be the only solution. He ordered a more complete C-scan of the surrounding area to be done the following Monday.
I was scheduled to fly home on Monday, reluctant to leave, I told them I would come back as soon as they wanted or needed me.
I talked with them last night, they will be removing the kidney as soon as she can get on the operating schedule, maybe 2 or 3 weeks.
Please remember Rhonda and her family in your prayers.

So sorry to hear your news.
ReplyDeleteI've got a friend who has had a cancer on his kidney. He had it removed, I'm not sure whether he had follow up treatment but he has made a full recovery with a good prognosis. I'll pray for your family.
God Bless
