First I want to Thank everyone that stops by my blog, I wish we could sit down over a cup and visit. I rarely have visitors at my home, so this is the next best thing. I really enjoy receiving comments and intend to respond to everyone, sometimes that just doesn't get done, but believe me I have good intentions.
I don't have anything finished to share today, but beings I am currently working on a flannel quilt, Cabin Fever I decided to share a few other flannel quilts from the past.
Everyone likes flannel what could be cozier than curling up with a book and a flannel quilt.
"Bear in the Woods"
I made this several years ago for my brother.
Ride em Cowboy
Maybe you have heard of Fabric Depot in Portland Oregon, I picked this up there as a kit in their bargain basket, I don't remember what I paid, just that I thought it was a real bargain. My grandson Eli has this one.
It was quite challenging to do.
The quilt back.
This is Glenn's quilt, a real early quilt I made for my son-in-law to welcome him to the family. It gets used everyday.
I hope you enjoyed the little quilt show.
Pay it Forward
I was the lucky third person to sign in on Linda's Pay it Forward. This has been going around for awhile and you may be familiar with the idea.
The rules are that the first three people to join the challenge on my blog will receive a gift handmade by me. I have 365 days to make and send your gift, though I hope that it won't take me that long. You in return will post on your blog inviting 3 more people to join in and receive a gift from you. I will try my best to visit your blog and make something that you will like. If you leave a comment please be sure to indicate that you are signing up for the challenge.
Happy Quilting!
Hi Janet - Gosh, I don’t think I'm a good enough quilter yet to join in your challenge. You play in the major leagues: I'm still playing softball with the kids on the corner!
ReplyDeleteBut I did want to say how much I loved your little quilt show. Thanks, as always, for sharing. Also, I've TAGGED you for a fun challenge! Head over to my blog for the details and PLEASE PLAY! http://pattie-tude.blogspot.com
Janet, I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your blog. I haven't started my own yet but I do spend a great deal of time quilting and love seeing other people's work. Keep smiling!
ReplyDeleteKaren O.
The quilt show was lovely, as I have said before you are inspritional.
ReplyDeleteI would like to join in your 'Pay it forward' challenge if that's possible, not that I am at your standard but I would like the challenge
Janet, As you know, I love all your quilts. I haven't seen one that I didn't just love.
ReplyDeleteEli has grown so much since you lived here. I can't believe it. He isn't a little boy anymore. He is a very handsome young man.
See ya later, Karen

ReplyDeleteAll you flannel quilts look wonderful and cozy. I love the pattern for your Bear in the Woods! Thanks for sharing the pictures.
ReplyDeletebtw, Mom ...
ReplyDeleteEli still loves his cowboy quilt. I used to get it out only at Christmas, (the print features letters to Santa in handwritten childprint) but it's so comfy and the colors are so warm we keep it over a chair in the living room.
Which reminds me, next time Eli & his buddies turn the living room into a quilt fort, I'll send a picture.
