On with the border

Yesterday was was filled with plumbing issues, the pipe under the kitchen sink sprung a serious leak. Do you know how many trips it takes to the plumbing store to fix a leak? five trips.

All the while, all I really wanted to do was get on with the border.

Now the border seems to be a problem too!

I may need to visit 5 quilt shops to find the right border.

I would like to be able to use something from my stash.

This one was Cymba's choice, I prefer a darker border.

If I can't find anything else this may be the one. Help! what do you think?

Should I keep searching?

Happy Quilting!

  1. I really like the dark blue one. Cymba made a nice choice, but I like the one before it.

  2. Sorry to hear you had plumbing problems...they can be so tricky!
Love the first picture...your cat is looking at you as if to say "what is that human doing up there?"

The quilt looks fab BTW...and I like the dark blue border..the dark colour frames it well.

  3. I like the dark blue border - right before the picture of Cymba. Sorry about the plumbing issues - we recently had to replace our kitchen faucet - that was a 3-trip job!

  7. I could live with the gold inner border, and then either the dark blue, or the last one for outer border.

Either way, the cat makes it cuter!

  9. Hello from a fellow Idahoian (well, at least as long as the Air Force keeps us here) :) Good job on your DD quilt! I'm slowing plugging along with mine. Love the kitty pictures too...we have two "Cat Scanners" in our home. They are proud of their jobs. You'll have to check out my blog to read about our lastest scare with Smokey.

  13. Love the quilt! I would pick the border fabric shown in the last picture. I think that would look lovely.

I also love the quilt pictured in your header. Beautiful colors. Nice cat too!

  14. Love your DD, and I think the dark blue would be a great choice as a border. I don't think you have to shop any further.

  17. I like the darker borders best -- either the first or the last. The yellow inner border is a must -- it really ties it together. I'm letting my DD age a bit as well hoping one of the borders grows on me.
