When life gives you scraps, make quilts.

I have been spending this week cleaning up a bin of scraps. I had a baggy full of 2" strips and 3.5". Cymba likes the results so far, and gives it the usual "cat scan".

I was inspired by a scrap quilt on Bonnie's Quiltville site, Sixteen Patch and Pinwheels.

I changed the pinwheels to hour glass blocks, not quite so busy.

With Valentines Day around the corner, I have found a couple of links you want to check out.
.
Heart Banner follow the link to Freda's Hive for a free pattern.

I think these would be fun hanging in the window, I don't think I will get around to making them, but I like the look. Kinda like stain glass.

Happy Quilting!

  2. Really like your 16 patch quilt. The Hourglass blocks showcase the 16patch squars more than the pinwheels do.

  4. You have such lovely things to share. Naturally Cymba is always best to focus on right away and when you pair up kitty with a FANTASTIC QUILT in the works, I'm gettin' all happy and inspired! As always, I love everything but I get get over what a different quilt that is with the Hour Glass Blocks. I totally dig it. You're very cool!
