Before and After

The picture below is of the previous owners decor on the front porch, or should I say lack of it. Their style was overcrowded Southwest, not my taste at all.

My next project is the side yard, I am getting rid of the red rock.

Not much quilting going on this week, I am taking advantage of the sunny days and working outside before the heat hits.

Have a Happy 4th and celebrate our Independence!

Happy Quilting!

  1. Hi Janet, It's so nice to have you back in blog-land :o) I love your front porch, it's an front porch of my dreams. Unfortunately there is not an common building tradition here in Norway. Have an greate 4th of july.

  2. Wow! It looks great. I sit at least an hour or more on my deck. I should do something with mine.

I will celebtate July 4th to the hilt. Jak will be here so it will be a great weekend!
    Have a great weekend! Karen

  3. Love the remake! Hope you have a wonderful 4th!

  4. Great job! I can'twait to see the side yard....

  5. Janet,
Love your version of the porch. It looks so inviting! The tipsy pot display is wonderful. I love the height of it.
Thanks for stopping by and letting me know you've been following the kitchen project. I have a feeling it will never be done....the goal right now is to get it at least useable for the weekend family party. And if Mike has to cook on his old grill because the new one isn't installed yet, well so be it. I'm going to clean up and put away all the tools and work stuff tomorrow done or not.
    Happy 4th to you!
