Today the sun is shinning brightly, the sky is a clear blue, and I am feeling better.
Friday I actually spent quite a bit of time in the sewing room
(I will be giving this to one of my sons and I could just see him taking a nap and his toes sticking out.) So I added a row of blocks on each end making it longer therefore more practical.
I have been wanting to do try some big stitch quilting with perle cotton and I have been wanting to give the baptist fan quilting pattern a try. It is a lot easier than I expected it to be, at least so far. I did start out by marking the first few fans, then they just seemed to fall in place, at least so far. It is going pretty fast, I completed this much in one afternoon.
I recieved a call from Mary at the quilt shop wanting to know if I was able to start another project for her. I told her I would be in Monday, so I will have something new to show tomorrow.
Happy Quilting!

ReplyDeleteVery nice - perfect "guy" quilt!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better. I am doing a small quilt with fans for the quilting and it is really fun and much simpler than I expected.
ReplyDeleteYour quilting looks great - yes, those fans are easy, that's why the pattern has been around so long.
ReplyDeleteGreat start on your fans. They are one of my favorite designs to quilt.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your next project.
